Pyramid Amphitheater Hike
Hike to spectacular setting

Unlike its famous neighbors the Maroon Bells, the rugged north face of Pyramid Peak is hidden from view as you arrive at Maroon Lake. The spectacular high alpine setting of the Pyramid Amphitheater is typically only enjoyed by those with sites on climbing the 14,000 foot peak.

Once detouring off the main trail to Crater Lake, we will enter pristine forests and ascend across alpine scree fields to our final destination and lunch spot - the 12,100 foot base of the huge north face of Pyramid Peak. At just over 14,000 feet, Pyramid is one of Colorado's most dramatic looking peaks!
