Overview

This fourteener is a 'classic' of the Aspen Seven Summits. The peak is a signatory to Aspen, Colorado but also to North America. You will hike through pristine forests, skirt across alpine scree fields and scramble airy ridges, topping out at just over fourteen-thousand feet on one of the Elk range's most dramatic looking peaks!

From the summit you will take in 360-degree views of the Elk range, seeing miles and miles in all directions. This ascent is world-class and will award mountain adventurers a timeless memory!

Itinerary

North Maroon Peak - North Maroon (14,014 ft.) is one of the most frequently photographed peaks in the United States and a signature to Colorado's Rocky Mountain 'High Life'. With an early morning alpine start, we'll hike past Maroon and Crater Lakes, making our way ever higher though a series of gullies and ledges to the North ridge and run it to the famed summit!
