Heidi Kloos
AMGA alpine certified mountain guide

Heidi joined the Aspen Expeditions staff in the summer of 1997. Prior to that she guided and instructed rock climbing in Northern Idaho and for First Accents in Smith Rocks in Oregon.

Heidi has extensive experience guiding and teaching all levels of rock, ice and alpine climbing. She has intimate knowledge in guiding all of the 14,000' peaks around Aspen, including the Maroon Bells and Capitol Peak. She also enjoys teaching women and kids to climb.

She is an assistant ski guide, has completed a Level 3 Avalanche Education course, has successfully completed an AMGA Alpine Certification. She is also a PSIA Certified Alpine Level 2 Professional Ski Instructor.

Heidi has climbed and trekked extensively throughout Nepal, Alaska, Thailand, and Bolivia. She summited the technically challenging Pumori, in Nepal (7145 meters) in 2000. In May 2002 she summited Denali via the West Rib.
