Dirk Bockelmann came to Aspen via the Ritz Carlton, from Atlanta.

After working successfully in the hotel business in corporate and shared ownership for both the Ritz Carlton & the St. Regis, Dirk left to take a position with the Colorado Mountain School.

Missing the Aspen lifestyle, Dirk came back in April 2006 to work full-time for Aspen Expeditions. He not only manages the day to day operations for Aspen Expeditions but also oversees the sales and marketing. Dirk is an avid backcountry skiier, climber and mountaineer. Among many 14er ski ascent/descents and climbs, Dirk also climbed and summited Himalayan Peak Ama Dablam in October 2008 and completed a unique ski tour in the Canadian Rockies in spring of 2011.
