Guided Ski Peaks
Hayden, Castle, Sopris

Ski mountaineering introduces the advanced skier to out-of-area riding. Our guides will take you into the backcountry to go up and down some of the amazing winter ski ascents that abound in the Elk range. Our favorite areas offer untracked ski ascents/descents of as much as 4,000 vertical feet.

We familiarize you with specialized alpine touring skis, bindings, climbing skins, avalanche beacons, rescue equipment, layered clothing. As you progress we can present the reality and challenge of this sport: searching for the best skiing by the safest route and descending or connecting summits with interesting and technical traverses.
