For the complete novice student or the experienced climber who requires additional training, Aspen Expeditions offers the full spectrum of state-of-the-art professional instruction. Our informative teaching progressions and low student-to-guide ratios assure maximum attention which each individual deserves.

In the summer, AE guides daily up on Independence Pass, a beautiful canyon surrounded by granite crags. Independence Pass offers ideal climbing for beginners to experts with easy top-roping to challenging multi-pitch routes.

Itinerary

- Meet your mountain guide at Aspen Expeditions ( at Durrance Sports, 414 E Cooper Ave, Aspen) between 8:30 AM - 9 AM. Get fitted for climbing shoes, harness & helmet. Head up to Independence Pass (10-15 min. drive). Depending on your experience the guide will determine the best location & climbs suited for your safety and enjoyment. You will climb rock in the beautiful Independence Pass area surrounded by granite crags. The day includes a break for lunch in this scenic setting.
